Sepeda Masa Depan versi Intel

Taipei - Ada satu pemandangan menarik di WiMax Expo Taipei, yakni demontrasi sepeda elektrik masa depan versi Intel. Sepeda beroda dua yang memanfaatkan tenaga elektrik baterai untuk berjalan ini dilengkapi dengan sebuah komputer berteknologi layar sentuh serta koneksi berbasis WiMax.

Alat transportasi ramah lingkungan ini dapat berjalan dengan kecepatan antara 10-30 km/jam. Saat menaiki kendaraan ini, pengemudi dapat mengemudi tanpa harus khawatir tersasar karena dilengkapi piranti GPS.

Sembari berjalan, pengguna dapat mendengarkan MP3, internet radio hingga menonton video. Bagi para pekerja mobile, bisa jadi alat transportasi ini jadi gadget impian terbaru. Berkat bantuan piranti WiMax yang disertakannya, browsing internet, email hingga menelpon via Skype dapat dilakukan sembari menaiki kendaraan ini.

Prototipe kendaraan keluaran inisiator WiMax Intel ini memang cukup menarik perhatian kalangan pengunjung WiMax Expo kali ini. Pengunjung dapat mencobanya dengan syarat yang cukup sederhana, yaitu harus bisa menjaga keseimbangan badan dan yang terpenting adalah tetap bisa fokus membagi antara melihat layar monitor dan jalan di depan. Custom Modification- Solar Electric: This Bill Darby Designs Nomad tadpole-style trike was adapted with a Currie motor kit, parking brake, solar charging kit and single-sided controls. The customer uses this bike as her only form of transportation, and the solar-charging kit helps her to live off the grid.

About the Bicycle Music Festival

Our mission is to promote bicycle-based musicians, bicycle culture in general, and the broader sustainability movement, through free, participatory, bicycle-based music events.
June 21, 2008 marks the second annual Bicycle Music Festival: the next evolution of the world’s only 100% bicycle-based festival. With 30 volunteers, 15 bands, 7 festival stops, no prices, no permits, Critical Mass-style bicycle party caravans between the festival stops, a 600 Watt pedal-powered P/A system, and zero use of cars and trucks, San Francisco’s Bicycle Music Festival may be the greenest music festival ever conceived.

Bicycle-mobility of the entire festival: the entire audience/band/stage/crew completely packs-up everything they bring (stage and musical equipment too) onto bicycles, and travels as a large group to the next festival stop. There are no sag-wagons or equipment trucks hauling the amplifiers and other heavy gear – everything is hauled by bicycle.

A simple passive speaker for your bicycle using the parts you have lying around. Loud enough to hear on quiet roads. A person with very basic soldering skills should be able to do this; doesn't require any advanced electronics knowhow.I made this because getting up those hills can be easier with some tunes, and I didn't have the cash to buy one of the commercial ones. I really liked this too because it recycled things that weren't being used anyway - go green!

Chopper bicycle made from found materials

So we've seen a lot of variations on the chopper bicycle out there. I have watched many roll by with awe and jealousy. I finally couldn't take it anymore and set out to make one of my own. In order to avoid being derivative, I decided that my bike would be made from as few actual bike parts as possible. While a noble notion, this proved quite difficult, especially having no experience building bikes in the first place. I am a sculptor above all else, so I figured if the thing failed, it would still be art.
